COBALT objectives

• Stimulating exchange between different stakeholder groups, with a particular focus on industry and civil society organisations, their respective needs and best ways to foster sustainable management of raw materials in Europe and beyond;

• Facilitating mutual learning between industry (particularly SMEs and industry associations) and civil society (particularly final consumers and consumer associations) to strengthen the ‘eco-innovation spiral’;

• Supporting universities, SMEs, and national geological surveys by identifying skills shortages and finding ways how to overcome them;

• Stimulating research activities and partnerships between SMEs, civil society organisations and geological surveys, and supporting the dissemination of research results.
